laser skin resurfacing

erase years of damage with little downtime

As we age, the two layers of our skin also age.  The outer layer, called the epidermis, doesn't replace itself as readily leading to epidermal thinning, dull complexion, age spots, and fine lines.  The deeper layer, called the dermis, looses it's collagen content over time which causes loss of strength and floppiness in the tissues.  This overall thinning of the skin contributes to our perception of aging by leaving us with sagging, thin, fragile tissue that bends and folds easily with muscle movement.

Laser Resurfacing with keep-MD's Erbium-YAG laser targets both thinning epidermis and dermal collagen loss with minimal downtime compared to other modalities.  By both regenerating the epidermis and thickening the dermis, clients can improve the health, texture, and appearance of skin without looking "fake" or "done".  Fine lines and wrinkles are reduced, skin is tightened, and dynamic lines from muscle activity are minimized.

Erbium-YAG laser resurfacing is a non-invasive procedure, meaning no surgery is involved.  The procedure is also quick and produces minimal pain, requiring about 20 minutes of numbing cream, and 20 minutes of actual treatment time.  Side effects are minimal and include redness, sensitivity, and a warm sensation for 2-5 days depending on the treatment. Although benefits can be seen with once treatment, best results are achieved after 3-5 sessions and can be discussed with Dr. Berger.
